Company History

Founded in 1927, B.G. Hoadley Quarries has grown under the leadership of multiple generations of the Hoadley and Fell families. Patsy Fell-Barker played a critical role in revitalizing the business during challenging times, including making personal sacrifices to keep the quarry running. Her leadership and dedication helped establish B.G. Hoadley as a leading name in Indiana limestone.

Garrett Fell oversees all company operations, ensuring that every facet of the business—from quarrying and production to sales and client support—upholds our family’s standards of quality and sustainability. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Indiana Limestone Institute of America, he champions industry best practices and fosters partnerships that benefit both our clients and local communities.

Lauren Roberts co-leads the company alongside her brother, Garrett, bringing a strategic vision to operations, finance, and governance. In her roles as Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, she streamlines internal processes, manages critical financial oversight, and ensures transparent communication with stakeholders. Her dedication to the company’s future success is matched by a passion for mentoring the next generation of industry professionals.

Patsy Fell-Barker is Garrett and Lauren’s grandmother and a true trailblazer in the stone industry. Under her leadership, the company expanded its reach and reputation for excellence. She was honored with the Women in Stone Pioneer Award and made history as the first female President of the Building Stone Institute. Today, her pioneering spirit continues to inspire our commitment to innovation and inclusion.

Well-known throughout the industry as a genuine leader who was full of life. He was instrumental in growing the company into what it is today. His sales and marketing expertise paved the way for the success of our standard limestone products sold throughout the U.S. and Canada.

David Ross Fell, Garrett and Lauren’s father, carried forward the family’s vision with energy and expertise until his passing in 2021. His legacy lives on in every block we quarry and every partnership we forge.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7 AM–3 PM
  • Friday: 7 AM–1 PM
  • Closed Saturday and Sunday

While this location is essential to our operations, it is not open to the public. For inquiries or deliveries, please visit our Mill.

Our private quarry is where the story begins. Here, we carefully extract raw limestone blocks that are transported to our Mill for fabrication.
